Leveraging AI to Boost Computation-Intensive Simulations with Ansys and NVIDIA
Wednesday 10th July 2024 at 16:00
AI computing, leveraging advanced machine learning techniques, transforms the extraction of insights from large datasets, revealing patterns beyond traditional methods.
In this workshop, we will first explore how AI is applied to engineering simulations, particularly in physics-based numerical simulations across industries. We will discuss the challenges due to high computational demands and how physics-informed machine learning
(Physics-ML) models can significantly speed up workflows with comparable accuracy. The AI model is efficiently trained on Nvidia GPUs with large datasets and provides valuable insights even for non-specialists.
In the second part, we will demonstrate the application of AI in CFD with a practical industrial use case using Ansys SimAI, a cloud-enabled generative AI platform. SimAI rapidly assesses new design performance and allows extensive testing of design alternatives.
We will show how to simplify geometry generation and evaluate mixing tank performance using SimAI predictions, trained on diverse 3D Fluent simulations. This streamlined process saves time and resources, making it easier to investigate the effects of different
geometries and operational factors on mixing processes.
